2025 Missouri Liars Contest

​Calling all liars, prevaricators, yarn-spinners, and flubbers:

The 2025 Missouri Liars Contest is open for entry for both Spoken and Written categories.
​
Entries will be accepted until June 22, 2025. Finalists will be notified on or around July 1, 2025. Finalists will be invited to compete in-person in the final round on July 12, 2025 in Hannibal, Missouri. ​

The 11th Annual Missouri Liars Contest

There will be a concert at the Hannibal Music Academy honoring Gladys Coggswell, the Master
Storyteller of Missouri and Hannibal. Gladys has been weaving tales her whole life. Hannibal is
Gladys’ home.
The concert will include other storytelling celebrities as well. Make plans to
attend this once in a lifetime event.
The ticket price is $12.

Lodging:
At the Best Western on the River, 20 rooms will be blocked off for the weekend with a
discounted cost. Guests will need to reserve their room by June 11.
More rooms can be had for that price as long as guests inform them that they are with MO-TELL Liars Contest, and they are booked before June 11th.
All rooms reserved will be double occupancy with two beds in each room.
